📋 Description

• Research and examine routine health claims related to Third Party Liability, Workers’ Compensation, and subrogation/reimbursement recovery • Review and evaluate accident or incident reports, claims, medical and legal documents • Respond to inquiries regarding claim recovery issues • Identify, monitor, and evaluate claim data to determine relatedness and reimbursement amounts • Analyze, interpret, and apply plan language, contracts, case law, statutes, and regulations • Prepare and maintain case files, correspondence, legal documents, and related information • Coordinate accounting for payments received • Evaluate and negotiate settlements within prescribed authority • Work virtually full-time except for required in-person training sessions

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Third Party Liability or Workers Compensation subrogation or related field • Any combination of education and/or experience providing an equivalent background • BA/BS degree or Legal Assistant certificate preferred • Candidates must be within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s), unless an accommodation is granted • New candidates in certain patient/member-facing roles must become vaccinated against COVID-19 and Influenza • Ability to research and examine health claims • Ability to analyze plan language, contracts, case law, statutes, and regulations
