📋 Description

• Prepare and oversee customer, site, and vendor contracts • Lead pricing, planning, execution, and control of investigator grants • Develop negotiation strategies and identify and mitigate contract risks • Draft, review, and independently negotiate master governing agreements • Escalate complex contractual risks to management or legal • Manage moderate to complex projects and associated issues • Perform in-depth analyses to support budget and contract negotiations • Train and mentor contracts team members • Develop and review Clinical Trial Agreements using standard templates • Ensure CTAs are executed promptly to meet study start-up timelines • Liaise with legal departments regarding CTA content changes • Participate in study kick-off meetings • Develop investigator grant estimates and contracting strategies • Develop and review confidentiality agreements, Work Orders, Change Orders, and other contracts • Create, publish, and review clinical, technical, and administrative documentation • Manage contract inventory and commercial contracts • Keep contract and budget statuses updated • Collaborate with management, staff, customers, sites, and internal stakeholders • Ensure contracts are executed and centrally stored according to corporate guidelines • Lead customer/site meeting preparation and discussions • Generate standard and ad-hoc reports • Reconcile discrepancies between documents and databases • Support audits with accurate contract and budget documentation • Maintain confidentiality of company information • Perform other duties as required or assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience • Five or more years of experience related to contract and budget management in the clinical research industry • Minimum one year of experience developing grant budgets for clinical trials or three years of similar experience • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of contract principles and procedures • Ability to comprehend, review, and research complex contract documents and guide junior analysts • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder relationship-building skills • Ability to work independently, manage tasks, respond to requests, and collaborate effectively • Strong organizational and prioritization skills for multiple concurrent complex projects • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and adapt to shifting priorities • Strong negotiation skills with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail • Deep knowledge of clinical trial agreements, budgets, regulatory considerations, and compliance requirements, including ICH GCP, FDA, and GDPR • Ability to interpret clinical trial protocols and translate them into budget requirements • Advanced proficiency with Excel • Basic proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams • Intermediate proficiency with Salesforce and SharePoint • Ability to perform the stated physical requirements, including prolonged computer work and occasional lifting of objects up to 20 pounds
