📋 Description

• Selects, grows, and maintains a profitable book of business for assigned middle market territory adhering to underwriting authority. • Evaluates complex accounts for risk selection and pricing purposes. • Analyzes exposure, company and regional risk appetite, account premium and loss history, financial data, etc. to underwrite policies. • Offers appropriate coverage, terms, and conditions for exposures. • Develops and fosters agency relationships. • Educates agents on EMC products, underwriting appetite, systems, and services. • Coordinates with marketing and regional management in the agency planning and review processes.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in insurance or business administration, or equivalent relevant experience • Three years of experience in commercial lines underwriting or related experience • Insurance designations, such as AINS, AU, CIC, or CPCU preferred • Strong knowledge of underwriting and risk analysis • Strong analytical and negotiating skills • Excellent problem-solving skills • Ability to work effectively with others, as well as independently • Excellent customer service skills • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
