📋 Description

• Service EMC's large account risk control portfolio within an assigned region • Conduct risk control surveys and services for the largest and most complex accounts • Oversee delivery of regional risk control services and ensure high-quality support to Large Account policyholders • Provide advanced consultation and assign risk control team members according to skill set • Deliver technical on-site surveys for current and prospective policyholders across EMC business areas and niche markets • Produce detailed written reports and recommendations supporting underwriting, risk selection, and account retention • Identify loss exposures and recommend mitigation strategies • Communicate exposure impacts to Underwriting, quantifying deficiencies for risk selection, pricing, terms, and conditions • Design and deliver strategic service plans addressing key loss drivers and operational exposures • Use data analysis, field observations, and collaboration to drive measurable risk improvement • Guide insureds in adopting service plans and tailored risk control recommendations • Provide technical guidance through co-surveys, service-plan reviews, and quality-control reviews of survey reports • Train less experienced Risk Control team members at RCS leadership's discretion • Build relationships with policyholders, underwriting, claims, and agents as a trusted advisor • Participate in cross-functional meetings with Underwriting, Sales, and Claims • Promote Risk Control capabilities through agency engagement, client visits, presentations, and strategic outreach

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in a safety, engineering, industrial safety, fire protection related field, or equivalent relevant experience • Eight years of experience in risk control or safety role, or related experience • Certifications such as ASP, CSP, ARM preferred • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite • Advanced knowledge of industrial, construction, fire, and commercial automotive safety • Excellent knowledge of nationally recognized standards and codes, including OSHA, DOT and NFPA • Advanced ability to understand and evaluate risk • Excellent ability to identify and visualize potential loss exposures • Strong problem-solving skills • Strong customer service skills • Self-motivated and highly organized • Ability to work effectively with others and independently • Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and educate diverse audiences • Travel required, approximately 50%, including local and overnight travel • Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards required
