📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive on-site property inspections and technical risk evaluations • Perform detailed physical inspections of commercial accounts and high-hazard properties • Assess exposures related to special hazards, fire protection, catastrophe exposures, crime, and liability risks • Evaluate life safety systems, fire protection equipment, building construction, and structural integrity • Prepare survey reports with building diagrams, digital photography, and risk improvement recommendations • Develop Property Loss Expectancies, including PML, NLE, and MFL • Collaborate with underwriting teams to support pricing and policy decisions • Communicate hazards and exposures to clients and provide cost-effective loss-reduction solutions • Follow up on clients' execution of recommendations • Review fire protection and building plans for new construction and existing-property upgrades according to NFPA and FM guidelines • Stay current on industry trends, regulations, NFPA standards, and FM guidelines • Provide technical training and guidance to clients and internal teams • Serve as a technical resource to Risk Control team members • Conduct one-on-one training and co-surveys with field staff in the region

🎯 Requirements

• Five years of experience in Large Property loss control, risk assessment, Highly Protected Risk (HPR) environments, or related experience • Certifications such as CFPS, CSP, or equivalent preferred • Proficiency in hazard identification, especially in Middle Market, Large Account, and Specialty property environments • Strong understanding of property risk assessment and hazard mitigation • Ability to interpret and apply national safety standards and codes • Ability to communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences • Proficiency in influencing stakeholders to act on risk control recommendations • Excellent analytical, organizational, and report-writing skills • Proficient interviewing techniques and technical report-writing ability • Ability to climb a fixed ladder, unless the flat roof is accessible by elevator, staircase, or another method • Resides within the assigned territory • Travel required • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle report required if driving • Ability to inspect flat roofs accessible only via fixed ladder access
