• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments at customer locations • Record and document existing equipment and system information using company software • Assist with developing project recommendations and calculating potential energy savings • Help identify mechanical system issues and support solutions • Work with experienced team members who provide training, guidance, and feedback • Assist with planning and completing assigned project tasks • Coordinate with team members, contractors, and customers • Follow established procedures, company standards, and project requirements • Manage multiple projects and provide regular updates to management • Learn about new technologies, products, and industry trends • Perform work in mechanical rooms and industrial environments • Complete project documentation, reporting, analysis, and administrative responsibilities from a home office when not traveling
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred • Previous experience in auditing, energy management, construction, or a related industry • Basic understanding of building systems such as HVAC, water, steam, and building envelope systems • Familiarity with estimating, bidding, or project documentation practices is beneficial • Experience collecting and reviewing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement is preferred • Basic understanding of engineering and mechanical system concepts • Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data accurately • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend practical solutions • Clear written and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines • High attention to detail • Ability to learn new technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements • Basic understanding of project costs, return on investment (ROI), and energy-saving opportunities • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and other business software • Able to work independently and as part of a team in field and remote work environments • Willingness to travel 80–90% of the time • Ability to walk throughout commercial, industrial, and construction environments for extended periods • Ability to access mechanical rooms, equipment areas, rooftops, and other building system locations • Ability to climb stairs and ladders and navigate uneven surfaces • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach as needed • Ability to lift and carry equipment, tools, and materials weighing up to 25 pounds • Ability to work in noisy, dusty, dirty, hot, cold, or dimly lit environments • Ability to safely work around mechanical, electrical, and industrial equipment while following applicable safety procedures
