• Oversee daily revenue cycle operations • Supervise Revenue Cycle Managers across Billing, Coding, Payment Posting, Insurance Follow-up, Credit Balance/Refunds, and Customer Service • Support Managers with supervision and training of revenue cycle staff and Team Leads • Assist with hiring and personnel concerns • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and accuracy • Monitor KPIs, analyze denial and payment delay trends, and provide reports and recommendations to leadership • Oversee EDI management, payer portals, clearinghouse, ERA, and EFT access and enrollments • Ensure revenue cycle metrics and goals are communicated and achieved • Implement process improvements and training as needed • Maintain compliance with billing and coding regulations and payer policies • Perform or oversee daily, weekly, and monthly department audits • Hold regular meetings with Managers and Team Leads to maintain operational continuity and improve efficiency and production quality • Serve as subject matter expert in revenue cycle operations • Ensure processes and new projects are maintained successfully and provide timely feedback to the Director of Revenue Cycle • Collaborate with the Director of Revenue Cycle and internal departments • Coordinate with the Revenue Cycle IT team on ticket completion and operational system issues • Attend required staff or company meetings • Perform additional duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field • Master’s degree preferred • Extensive experience in institutional coding, institutional billing, institutional denials management, and payment posting • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, privacy laws, billing requirements, CMS and State regulations, and payer policies • Strong leadership and team management skills • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions • Proficiency in healthcare information systems and patient access software • Knowledge of revenue cycle management processes and strategies • Proven track record in process improvement and implementing best practices • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, collaborate with other departments, and act as a strategic partner to the Revenue Cycle Director • Ability to work off-hours when required
