📋 Description

• Own the roadmap, priorities, delivery, and ongoing management of assigned enterprise data products or components of a data domain • Understand how data products are sourced, transformed, governed, and consumed, and identify opportunities to improve reliability, usability, quality, and business value • Use SQL to investigate data questions, validate business logic, analyze multiple tables, trace discrepancies, and assess expected results • Troubleshoot data quality issues, evaluate downstream impact, and partner with technical and business teams on resolution • Translate business, analytical, operational, and regulatory needs into product requirements • Define and maintain product requirements, epics, user stories, and documentation for datasets, metrics, APIs, dashboards, and related data capabilities • Partner with data engineering and architecture teams on data models, pipelines, interfaces, dependencies, and architecture decisions • Resolve conflicts among business definitions, source data, technical constraints, and governance requirements • Incorporate data quality, metadata, lineage, master data management, access, privacy, and retention requirements into product decisions • Ensure data products meet expectations for quality, performance, availability, scalability, security, and usability • Support regulatory, risk, and audit reviews • Track and report data product usage, quality, delivery performance, and product health • Drive adoption through documentation, stakeholder communication, and enablement • Work within Agile delivery practices while balancing roadmap priorities, data issues, regulatory requirements, and changing business priorities • Establish priorities, understand data flows and dependencies, identify quality or usability gaps, and strengthen delivery, governance, measurement, and use during the first 6 to 12 months

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field • 5 to 7+ years of product management experience, including data, analytics, or platform products • Advanced SQL and data analysis capability with complex datasets • Ability to write and interpret complex joins across multiple tables, trace transformations, validate business logic, reconcile conflicting results, and investigate data quality issues independently • Demonstrated experience using SQL to solve meaningful business or product problems • Ability to use SQL and data analysis for product decision-making, requirements validation, defect investigation, and outcome assessment • Demonstrated ownership of a data product, data capability, or meaningful component of a data domain from business need through delivery and ongoing use • Experience working with data engineers and architects on data models, pipelines, or architecture decisions • Experience translating ambiguous business needs into actionable requirements resulting in a delivered dataset, metric, API, dashboard, or other data capability • Experience identifying or resolving data quality, governance, or control issues • Working knowledge of data modeling and data architecture • Working knowledge of data pipelines and data movement and transformation • Working knowledge of data warehouses and data lakes • Understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management, data lineage, and master data management • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies • Understanding of financial services controls • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship, including CPT/OPT, is unavailable • Preferred: experience delivering data products in financial services, fintech, or another regulated industry • Preferred: experience with APIs in data products • Preferred: experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP • Preferred: experience with BI, analytics tools, or metrics layers • Preferred: background in analytics, data engineering, or a quantitative role
