📋 Description

• Develop measurement and verification (M&V) methodologies and data science models for accurate, transparent evaluation of advanced grid services from distributed energy-resource fleets • Write production-level code and prototype new data products • Apply machine learning algorithms to energy IoT data • Translate large distributed-energy datasets into actionable insights for electric utilities and other energy-industry stakeholders • Collaborate with Data Engineering, Client Success, Marketing, Sales, Product, and Market Development teams • Contribute to improving models used to evaluate control algorithms, performance evaluation, and forecasting • Contribute to data management software systems • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with Python and the scientific stack (pandas, numpy, scipy) • Proficiency in SQL and understanding of good data modeling practices (basic ETL/ELT) • Practical comprehension of basic machine learning algorithms • Familiarity with Scikit-learn and TensorFlow • Ability to explain results from large-scale data analyses to diverse audiences • New applicants must not require employment-authorization sponsorship or other immigration-related support • Bonus: Experience in measurement and verification (M&V) of control and optimization of distributed energy resources • Bonus: Experience with Snowflake, dbt, and analytics engineering development practices • Bonus: Experience with BI tools such as Sigma, Tableau, or Looker • Bonus: Experience scaling data science products in the cloud, including Databricks, AWS, GCP, or Azure • Bonus: Strong mathematics and statistics background • Bonus: Power systems expertise, including three-phase distribution network modeling
