• Support Transmission Ops & Planning projects focused on grid reliability, power system operations, and emerging energy technologies • Test and/or debug Python software, including the Safe-T Net tool • Provide feedback about potential software issues and improvements • Conduct literature reviews on global operations practices, grid codes, standards, market structures, and interconnection processes • Review and aggregate publicly available information regarding significant grid events such as outages • Summarize research in technical briefs
• Available to work at minimum during the 2026 Fall semester (August–December) • Currently pursuing a Masters or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field • Programming experience in Python, including debugging and troubleshooting code • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills • Ability to review technical literature and synthesize findings into clear written summaries • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research-oriented environment
