📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive psychiatric assessments, ongoing medication management, and evidence-based treatment plans for children, adolescents, and adults with eating disorders and complex co-occurring conditions • Monitor vital signs, laboratory data, and clinical indicators to ensure medical stability in an outpatient virtual setting • Order labs, prescribe medications, obtain medical records, and facilitate external care collaboration with medical assistants and nurses • Partner within a 5-person treatment team of therapist, dietitian, physician, peer mentor, and family mentor to establish medical guidelines and individualized care plans • Use EMR messaging and internal communication channels to respond to patient and family inquiries • Complete session notes, medical assessments, and documentation in the electronic medical record within 24 hours • Collaborate with outside primary care providers, specialists, and inpatient/residential facilities as needed • Participate in weekly treatment team meetings, clinical case reviews, department meetings, and continuing education initiatives • Provide direct patient care without administrative or clinical supervision responsibilities for APPs

🎯 Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited medical school holding an MD or DO degree • Board-certified or board-eligible in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry • Proven experience or strong baseline competence in eating disorder medical management, including evaluating refeeding risks, monitoring psychiatric/medical stability variables, and managing high-risk psychotropic medications • Solid foundation of medical knowledge and high confidence in medical stability monitoring within a virtual high-acuity eating disorder ecosystem • Candidate must reside in an IMLC member state to qualify for or maintain the IMLC pathway • Currently licensed through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) or IMLC Eligible, meeting IMLC criteria and holding or being eligible to obtain a Letter of Qualification (LOQ) • Proven capability in high-acuity, high-volume virtual care delivery • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills • High clinical maturity for complex, sensitive eating disorder cases • Flexibility, adaptability, and comfort in a fast-paced digital health organization • Ability to work full-time Monday-Friday • Ability to work two evenings per week Monday-Friday until 6 pm in patients' time zones • Ability and willingness to provide care exclusively in a virtual/telehealth environment • Reliable internet and a private workspace
