📋 Description

• Assist with client intake, gather relevant documents and information, open and organize case files, and ensure proper documentation at the outset of each matter • Manage matters from intake through resolution, maintaining organized files and ensuring all deadlines and requirements are tracked and met • Draft, edit, and format legal documents including pleadings, correspondence, discovery, and other case-related materials • Prepare and file documents in accordance with court rules, including e-filing and maintaining proof of service and filing confirmations • Prepare and respond to discovery, track deadlines, coordinate document collection, and assist with document review and production • Conduct legal and factual research and prepare summaries for attorney review • Assist with pretrial preparation, including exhibits, witness lists, trial binders, and coordination of logistics • Maintain case calendars, monitor deadlines, and coordinate hearings, filings, and appointments • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors to support case progression • Proactively follow up on outstanding items, ensure matters continue moving forward, and anticipate attorney needs

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of recent paralegal experience in Florida, including drafting, filing, discovery, and trial or hearing preparation. • Bachelor's Degree Required • Minimum availability of 20 hours/week to start • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases • Strong attention to detail and communication skill • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe • Experience with legal software (Clio or similar is a plus) • Windows-based computer preferred • Availability and responsiveness within 1 hour during standard business hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
