📋 Description

• Provide direct, compassionate virtual cardiology care to patients in hospital or ED settings through telemedicine • Manage patients collaboratively with on-site teams to develop comprehensive care plans • Conduct proactive cardiology rounds, including diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disorders and diseases • Perform daily rounding and review laboratory, medication, and imaging data • Prescribe appropriate pharmaceutical and treatment regimens • Institute and manage local hospital care protocols • Conduct family discussions and communicate with patient care teams and local physicians • Initiate early treatment to prevent clinical deterioration • Liaise with bedside teams to provide real-time cardiology expertise • Participate in quality initiatives directed by Equum’s Physician leadership team • Align providers around quality, patient experience, and operational goals • Access and use EMR, patient records, vital signs, and decision-support tools • Foster teamwork and communication among internal and external patient-care constituencies • Develop long-term relationships with care sites to improve staff and patient experience and clinical outcomes

🎯 Requirements

• Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from patient care providers • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Previous computer experience and comfort with EMR • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to mentor colleagues, build consensus, and influence positive outcomes • ACLS Certification • Valid DEA Certificate • Hospital / ED experience • Reliable high speed home internet • Availability for 12-hour day and night shifts • Demonstrated proficiency in cardiology skills • Ability to think critically in diagnosing clinical problems and defining interventions • Excellent organizational skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English • Proficiency in computer documentation and navigation • Graduate from an accredited School of Medicine or ECFMG certification • Board Certification or Board-Eligibility in Cardiology; if not board certified at hire, candidate must become board certified within two years of entering the position • Ability to obtain multiple state medical licenses in geographies where services are provided • Qualified to obtain local hospital privileges
