• Drive the overarching medical communications strategy and execution across molecules and specified disease states • Lead strategic planning and execution for the medical communications function, including content, education, and awareness initiatives • Lead development of insight collection initiatives and publications with key stakeholders • Develop and maintain scientific platforms, internal and external content, and scientific/digital communication plans • Lead congress planning and execution, including medical affairs booth content and design, scientific insights, competitive intelligence, and scientific symposia • Partner with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Commercial, and Leadership on medical communications initiatives • Partner with KOLs, advocacy groups, investigators, collaborators, and vendors • Establish internal scientific training, medical information, and grant review infrastructure as needed • Ensure projects remain on strategy, within budget, and are executed promptly • Support Medical and Legal Review during medical affairs and future promotional/non-promotional material review • Perform duties in accordance with company values, policies, and applicable regulations
• Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) in a medical or science specialty preferred; significant medical-field experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree • 7+ years of related experience at a pharmaceutical company or medical communications agency • 3 years of experience in medical affairs, including medical communications roles • Strong scientific acumen and experience in precision therapeutics required • Specific experience in GI or lung cancers preferred • Strong and timely oral and written communication skills • Ability to build trust and respect with partners • Agility and flexibility across diverse therapeutic areas in a fast-paced growth-stage biotech company • Proven track record of timely decision-making, prioritization, and solution-oriented problem-solving • Ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines • Collaborative team-player approach and ability to implement creative solutions to complex problems • Experience managing budgets and vendor partnerships • Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry's legal and compliance environment • Strong learning orientation, curiosity, and commitment to science and patients • Willingness and ability to travel 20–30% domestically and internationally to key internal and external professional meetings
