• Promote approved Esperion products on-label to targeted customers within the assigned geographic area • Execute sales strategies and all aspects of personal promotion within the assigned territory • Implement Esperion sales processes using approved sales and marketing resources in an effective, efficient, and compliant manner • Report to the Regional Sales Manager • Achieve individual territory sales goals • Review performance metrics with the Regional Sales Manager to maximize sales results • Develop and maintain business relationships with key customers • Promote and educate Healthcare Providers through one-on-one meetings, virtual engagements, approved speaker programs, and other approved programs • Analyze local market trends and develop, execute, and monitor performance initiatives to maximize appropriate product use • Use sales and marketing tools and resources to achieve business objectives • Maintain knowledge of product payer coverage to support market access objectives • Attend local, regional, and national congresses to promote Esperion brands to Healthcare Provider attendees • Complete administrative tasks including sample inventory, call submission and reporting, expense management, and vehicle mileage reporting • Follow corporate policies, procedures, compliance training, expense-report guidelines, and territory budget requirements • Communicate and coordinate with Regional Sales Managers and Territory Managers to achieve territory potential • Align Sales and Marketing efforts and execute business initiatives to high standards • Work with sales leadership and Market Access to maximize pull-through from commercial and government payers • Maintain vendor credentialing requirements, including VendorMate and RepTrax, to access customer locations
• Bachelor’s degree required • Preferred degree in sciences (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Kinesiology, Pre-med, or other STEM background) • 1–3 years of pharmaceutical or relevant sales experience, or equivalent education and experience • Experience calling on or working with Healthcare Professionals preferred but not required • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%, including overnight stays for territory business and occasional Regional and National Sales Meetings • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record meeting Esperion employment standards • Documented track record of consistent high performance in sales, academics, athletics, or similar endeavors • Desire to work in a start-up environment or successful experience operating in an entrepreneurial sales model with sole responsibility for product promotion within a large geographic territory • Ability to embrace a performance-driven and growth culture • Passion for the company’s mission and reputation • Excellent presentation and communication skills • Ability to influence and work successfully with varied audiences, including customers, colleagues, scientific and technical leaders • Strong interpersonal and selling skills
