• Lead and coordinate field service activities related to telecommunications cable splicing, fiber optic network installation, and outside plant operations. • Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks safely and efficiently to access elevated work sites. • Utilize diagnostic tools, telecommunications testing equipment, voltmeters, and schematics to troubleshoot network issues and perform repairs. • Install, splice, and test fiber optic cables within outdoor environments, ensuring adherence to industry standards such as the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC). • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering troubleshooting guides to execute precise cabling and network infrastructure installations. • Manage telecommunications cable splicing projects from start to finish, including planning, execution, quality control, and documentation. • Provide technical troubleshooting support for fiber optic systems, LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), Ethernet configurations, telephony systems, and low voltage electrical components. • Oversee technical teams in outdoor environments while ensuring safety compliance and operational excellence.
• Proven experience in field service roles involving telecommunications outside plant operations and fiber optic systems installation. • Strong knowledge of telecommunications cable splicing techniques, fiber splicing methods, and network infrastructure deployment. • Ability to operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks safely; climbing skills are essential for outdoor work environments. • Proficiency with diagnostic tools including voltmeters, telecommunications testing equipment, and interpreting schematics or technical drawings. • Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, construction techniques, electrical work, and low voltage wiring. • Familiarity with computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN configurations, Ethernet cabling, IT infrastructure components, and telephony systems. • Knowledge of safety standards such as the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) applicable to outdoor telecom operations. • Excellent engineering troubleshooting skills coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving in outdoor settings. • Construction experience in outdoor environments with a focus on telecommunications or electrical projects is highly desirable. • Ability to interpret technical schematics accurately; experience with telecommunication schematics is preferred. • Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and providing technical support when needed. • Must be located in the United States.
