📋 Description

• Manage client relationships and lead and execute strategy for purpose-driven companies, organizations, and campaigns • Craft and lead strategies and campaigns addressing climate and clean energy, economic inclusion, responsible technology, and other important issues • Support litigation communications efforts involving critical rights and liberties • Serve as the lead point of contact for a wide range of clients • Cultivate external relationships and coordinate internal workflows • Manage staff and track deliverables from conception to execution • Devise policy proposals and communications plans to help clients achieve their goals and influence local and national debates • Draft policy memos, strategy documents, op-eds, communications plans, and media statements • Follow public policy developments, political news, and industry trends • Master new issue areas quickly • Oversee managers, associates, fellows, and interns • Provide professional development and mentorship • Assist with operational processes

🎯 Requirements

• A minimum of seven years' experience in communications or public policy roles in the corporate, political, or nonprofit sectors • Candidates with experience working at the intersection of communications and policy preferred • Demonstrated ability to manage and interface with press • On-the-record experience serving as a spokesperson for a company, brand, or candidate preferred • Excellent writing and editing skills, with examples of writing products that have been published or shared for external consumption • Proven ability to manage a team effectively, with experience leading staff across multiple priorities and projects at the same time • Strong communications experience • Meaningful experience with press engagement • Background in climate and clean energy OR responsible technology and AI is a strong plus
