📋 Description

• Own recurring compliance operations and complete responsibilities accurately, consistently, and on time • Support vendor due diligence, vendor onboarding, regulatory reporting, licensing requirements, and banking partner and regulator audits • Support the buildout of AML transaction monitoring in Unit21, including alert review, escalation, and suspicious activity monitoring • Turn compliance policies and recurring issues into clear guidance for consistent decision-making • Review new feature proposals to identify compliance risks early and develop practical solutions • Participate in early product discussions with a compliance-first mindset focused on reaching workable solutions • Help the team address new compliance requirements as Expensify expands into regulated products, states, and markets • Collaborate cross-functionally on projects from initial design through launch

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience on a Compliance Team in the FinTech industry or at a tech company that processes payments • Background in vendor due diligence, KYC, or transaction monitoring workflows where accuracy, consistency, and judgment are critical • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, or similar teams on project focused work • Strong written communication skills, with experience documenting decisions, preparing reports, and creating instructions • Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize work, move decisions forward, and rely on your team when a second opinion is needed • Experience improving operational workflows through automation, process redesign, AI, scripting, or systems thinking • Experience leading compliance work through audits, regulatory examinations, or feature launches outside of the US • CAMS certification
