📋 Description

• Monitor legislative and regulatory proposals across an assigned multi-state portfolio affecting Experian's credit bureau, commercial credit, marketing services, automotive, health, and consumer services businesses • Assess priorities for monitoring or engagement • Help lead legislative and regulatory engagement with state policymakers and regulators • Work with state-based consultants and lobbyists, trade associations, coalitions, outside counsel, and other external resources • Develop and execute advocacy strategies on priority state legislative and regulatory matters • Coordinate Experian and industry positions • Monitor state agency rulemakings and regulatory proceedings • Coordinate company and industry responses, including comment letters • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and business teams to assess policy developments and business impacts • Develop policy analysis, legislative and regulatory reports, briefing materials, and priority tracking • Communicate enacted laws and final regulations to support implementation and compliance planning • Support Experian's state political and PAC activities

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working on state legislative or regulatory policy, at a state financial regulatory agency, or with a policy-oriented organization focused on state-level issues • Must live in the Washington D.C. or Sacramento, California areas • Available to travel for work once a month • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Business Administration, Public Policy, or related area • Experience working on privacy, financial services, and technology issues • Experience working with diverse personality types and across party lines • Experience extracting important takeaways from legislation • Knowledge of state legislative and regulatory policy
