• Lead interim COO engagements, serving as the acting COO for client organizations. • Provide hands-on operational leadership, partner with executive teams and stakeholders, and drive execution on organizational priorities to ensure continuity, stability, and progress. • Provide strategic leadership and direction to client organizations on operational strategy, best practice, and methodology. • Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to optimize efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction. • Experience with core FQHC operational and administrative functions including: front office & registration, back-office and nursing, referrals, health information technology, and information systems & outpatient software systems. • Preferred candidates will have experience with Epic, athenaOne, eClinicalWorks, and/or NextGen. • Experience working with C-suite & other senior healthcare leaders to achieve strategic goals. • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of managers and supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to evaluate operational performance and identify areas for improvement. • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and industry best practices. • Drive initiatives to enhance quality of care, patient safety, and clinical outcomes through process improvement and evidence-based practices. • Foster strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies. • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision-making and drive innovation. • Perform other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare management, preferably within an FQHC or similar healthcare setting • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, finance, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement methodologies • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic operational initiatives, and performance improvement projects • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization • Proven track record of driving results, managing change, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement • Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems, healthcare informatics, and data analytics preferred • Proven problem-solving skills, independent decision-making, and ability to navigate ambiguity • Proactive – does not wait for things to happen – makes them happen • Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills • Excellent organizational and time-management skills • Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues • Mission Driven- motivated by working with non-profits who deliver high quality care
