📋 Description

• Support external healthcare consulting clients and Facktor’s internal accounting and financial operations • Scope, implement, and deliver consulting engagements that strengthen financial health and sustainability of community healthcare organizations • Work with directors to deliver financial, strategic, and functional accounting support • Build long-term relationships with client leaders and facilitate client meetings • Analyze healthcare utilization and cost, reimbursement and billing, population health and clinical outcomes, provider productivity, and operational variation • Identify root causes and opportunities to strengthen financial performance • Translate findings into recommendations for executive leadership teams and community health center Boards of Directors • Build financial models and support detailed budgets aligned with organizational priorities and funding requirements • Develop reports, presentations, grant narratives, and other client-facing materials • Review work prepared by associates • Support competitive and compliant grant and funding responses • Manage two to four complex workstreams and client engagements within scope, timelines, and budgets • Contribute to business development, identify client needs, scope expanded support, and partner on proposals • Own Facktor’s month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, depreciation, and account reconciliations • Produce monthly financial packages, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statement, and budget-to-actual reporting • Prepare weekly accounts receivable updates, aging reports, collection status, and client or division trends • Record deposits, apply cash, monitor AR aging, and follow up on collections • Investigate and escalate unapplied cash, customer credit balances, potential refunds, and other accounting items • Prepare payroll journal entries and reconciliations and maintain benefits and 401(k) accounting • Partner on cash management and track cash positions, account transfers, and line of credit balances • Support accounts payable, including vendor bills, payment cycles, approvals, vendor records, W-9s, and 1099 tracking • Handle 1099s, W-2s, state and local filings, and applicable sales tax • Coordinate with outside accountants on tax preparation, audits, and reviews • Administer QuickBooks, Bill.com, and Harvest and automate recurring tasks • Lead and supervise 1–2 associates

🎯 Requirements

• At least 3 years of progressive experience in healthcare accounting, finance, financial analysis, or data analytics • Bachelor's degree required, ideally in accounting • Hands-on month-end close experience, ideally including ownership of the close process • Proficiency with QuickBooks and AP automation tools such as Bill.com • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work • Ability to communicate complex financial and operational concepts clearly and concisely • Proactive, self-directed mindset with ability to take initiative, solve problems independently, and drive work to completion • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and client engagements simultaneously • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to build trusted relationships with clients, colleagues, and executive stakeholders • Flexibility to collaborate across multiple time zones • Discretion in handling confidential firm and payroll information • Willingness to sign a non-disclosure agreement • Comfort with recurring, deadline-driven cycles • Experience with healthcare reimbursement, billing, or coding is a plus • Experience supervising, mentoring, or reviewing junior staff is a plus • CPA or progress toward a CPA, MBA, or other relevant graduate degree preferred • Nonprofit or fund accounting experience is a plus • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools preferred • Prior experience with community health centers, nonprofit healthcare organizations, or other safety-net providers preferred • Passion for improving community healthcare and supporting underserved populations
