📋 Description

• Conduct virtual and on-site investigations at policyholders’ residences • Assess property damage, determine liability, evaluate loss extent, and negotiate fair settlements • Use claims handling software, a company car, and laptop to determine damage and write estimates in a paperless environment • Evaluate and report potential subrogation opportunities • Report theft, fraud, or arson incidents to appropriate state and industry agencies • Work independently with duties directly impacting management outcomes • Represent the company professionally in public interactions • Engage with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, law enforcement, fraud and arson investigators, attorneys, medical professionals, and other stakeholders • Negotiate with policyholders to settle claims using strong customer service skills • Promote safety and comply with company safety and ergonomic standards • Perform additional duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required • Excellent customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment • Construction or Insurance experience is highly desirable and preferred • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, Outlook • Proficiency with smartphones and applications • Eagerness to learn insurance policies and property damage • Outgoing personality and comfort interacting with a wide variety of people • Valid driver's license • Bondable • Final candidates subject to a Motor Vehicle Record background check • Willingness and ability to climb ladders, inspect roofs, and work on rooftops multiple times per day • Ability to work in small, confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces • Minimum passing score on all claims training exams • Ability to carry up to 50 lbs. • English speaking, reading, writing, and key entering ability • Ability to work in uncontrolled outdoor conditions and potentially hazardous environments • Candidates must reside in the hiring territory • Willingness to commit to 1–3 catastrophe deployments per year • Catastrophe team employees may be required to travel away from residence, usually for 23 days
