📋 Description

• Assist in IT automation processes • Support documentation of security practices and procedures • Review, implement, and validate automation processes • Contribute to the design, testing, and rollout of a virtual desktop environment • Research, configure, and document best practices for secure remote access • Conduct audits of tenant security configurations • Identify system gaps and potential vulnerabilities • Draft remediation recommendations, including patching strategies and system hardening measures • Collaborate with senior IT and cybersecurity staff on day-to-day monitoring, compliance reporting, and risk management efforts

🎯 Requirements

• Currently enrolled at a Virginia state college or university • Upperclassman status • Major in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, or similar enterprise platforms • Understanding of basic cybersecurity principles and frameworks • Strong research, documentation, and technical writing abilities • Analytical mindset with attention to detail • U.S. citizenship if required for access to certain systems or data • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong verbal and written communication skills
