📋 Description

• Build Farther’s design system from the ground up and own it long-term • Define how our entire product organization works—creating the infrastructure for consistent, high-quality experiences • Audit existing design assets and build a scalable, accessible component library in Figma • Create reusable components, design tokens, and detailed usage documentation • Own prioritization, roadmapping, and stakeholder communication for the design system • Define governance processes for adoption, enhancements, and deprecations • Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure design-to-code fidelity and proper implementation • Establish education and onboarding processes that drive real adoption across the team • Provide guidance and support to designers across advisor tools, client platforms, and mobile • Partner with PMs and engineering teams to clarify component usage, patterns, and best practices during feature implementation • Apply systems thinking to help maintain consistency, accessibility, and quality across all product experiences

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience, including 3+ years leading design systems • Expert in Figma, capable of building scalable component architectures • Deep understanding of design-to-code implementation and cross-platform consistency • Both strategic and executional—able to set vision, define governance, and execute detailed components • Self-directed, highly organized, and skilled at prioritization and stakeholder management • Excited by the challenge of building and maintaining a permanent, enterprise-grade design system • Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
