• Collaborate with lenders, bank attorneys, and borrowers to resolve issues impacting title insurability prior to closing. • Review title commitments to confirm accuracy of the chain of title and identify title issues for residential refinances. • Analyze various records such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, corporate/LLC and estate documentation to determine ownership and legal restrictions. • Collaborate with underwriting to find solutions and navigate title issues. • Prepare title policies, affidavits and other closing documents in FAST. • Verify that title insurance rates and coverage provided on the title commitment are given in accordance with instructions received by the insured parties of the transaction and in accordance with state guidelines. • Communicate with Title Closers to help ensure a smooth closing and follow up with parties for any trailing documents after closing.
• 2-5 years title related real estate experience • Flexible with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to handle all aspects of title support • Passion for helping customers while maintaining a professional and positive attitude • Excellent verbal and written communication with both our internal team and external customers; adapting styles as needed • Problem solver with strong organizational skills, is detail oriented, and has a natural curiosity with an eagerness to learn and share • Thrives in contributing to a team working together to deliver beyond customer expectations • Comfortable guiding and supporting future talent learning the business • Knowledge of MS Office suite and ability to quickly adapt to new software applications and technologies • High School diploma or equivalent
