📋 Description

• Draft, review, and negotiate master services, data processing, partner and reseller, business associate, end user license, service level, and confidentiality agreements • Lead complex deals with mid-market accounts and large global enterprises • Advise Sales, Product, Partner team, Sales Operations, Compliance, Procurement, and Finance on legal and business issues • Address data use, privacy, cybersecurity, AI, and regulatory questions arising in deals • Provide practical solutions that protect Five9 while keeping deals moving • Build and refine contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and FAQs to increase deal velocity • Work on the business-focused Transactions team within Legal and Compliance • Report to the VP, Legal Transactions • Work closely with Sales leadership and help shape AI terms in customer contracts

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school • Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar • 7+ years of combined law firm and in-house experience • 4+ years of in-house drafting and negotiating complex technology agreements in a fast sales environment • Experience negotiating SaaS, cloud, and other technology agreements • Experience addressing data privacy issues in commercial contracts • Experience negotiating AI-related contract terms, including data use and training rights, output ownership, and AI regulatory compliance • Experience managing multiple negotiations and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment • Strong commercial judgment and ability to balance legal risk against business goals • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills • Ability to turn complex legal and regulatory requirements into clear business guidance • Experience with telecommunications, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance issues in commercial contracts is a plus • Experience supporting product teams on AI-enabled and data-driven features is a plus • Familiarity with HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2, CCPA, and CPRA is a plus • Working knowledge of cloud company business processes is a plus • Experience improving contract lifecycle management and legal operations at a high-growth technology company is a plus • Comfort using AI tools for contract drafting, review, and negotiation is a plus
