📋 Description

• Triage oncology patient calls regarding treatment, surgery, and appointment information • Monitor and provide patient symptom management • Manage high-risk, complex patient care to minimize emergency department visits and inpatient readmissions • Assess barriers to care and address patient, caregiver, and family needs • Provide individualized patient education, resources, and referrals • Assist the physician and PA-C/ARNP with patient and family interactions to resolve clinical issues • Complete requested clinical documentation • Establish and maintain professional role boundaries with patients, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary care team • Facilitate communication among multidisciplinary cancer care team members • Review, evaluate, and report diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions • Provide education and clinical direction following chemotherapy, radiation, infusion treatments, and surgery • Work as an integral team player under general supervision and established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines

🎯 Requirements

• Registered Nurse multistate or Florida single state licensure required • Minimum of Associate Degree in Nursing • Certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN®) preferred • Three (3) years or more of experience as an RN • Two (2) years or more of oncology experience required • Strong organizational skills • Ability to prioritize and reprioritize quickly • Ability to develop collaborative relationships both internally and externally • Strong written communication skills • Strong telephonic assessment and communication skills • Ability to work autonomously and with a virtual team in a remote work environment • Strong oncology side effect/triage management • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook • Possess high level critical-thinking skills • Compliance with Florida State Board of Nursing rules and regulations • Successful background, drug, and nicotine screening • Required vaccinations, including influenza vaccine, barring an approved exemption
