📋 Description

• Process referrals from practice providers to specialists, hospitals, and diagnostic centers according to physician orders • Ensure facility and insurance provider requirements are met so patients obtain required services in the appropriate setting • Coordinate referrals with insurance providers to minimize patient financial liability • Work with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to complete referrals according to payor requirements • Obtain and scan outside clinic records after appointments to assure continuity of care • Support clinic, practice, hospital, and health system initiatives to improve day-to-day operations • Assist patients with access to government and community resources to enhance healthcare access • Support performance excellence initiatives, including Lean Six Sigma • Perform duties that improve patient outcomes and patient satisfaction • Support the organization's Culture of Excellence and suggest improvements to the patient experience and care environment • Perform other assigned duties • Provide quality training and orientation for assigned employees
