β’ Examine title orders in accordance with company guidelines to determine title conditions by analyzing mortgages, liens, judgments, and other pertinent records to verify ownership, legal restrictions, and legal descriptions. β’ Review final products to ensure compliance with quality standards. β’ Clearly explain chain of title, exceptions, and requirements to customers and managers. β’ Identify and assess risks and liabilities that may jeopardize the Company and escalate, as appropriate. β’ Prepare accurate and comprehensive title search abstracts and title reports in accordance with Company policies and examining procedures. β’ Request and track documentation or corrective action necessary to resolve deficiencies in title search packages prior to release. β’ Maintain compliance with Company policies, procedures and good housekeeping practices β’ Other duties as assigned.
β’ High school diploma or equivalent β’ 2+ years of customer service and general knowledge of the Title Industry β’ Detail-oriented and customer service focused with strong written and verbal communication skills β’ Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving and time-management skills β’ Familiar with industry concepts, practices, procedures and associated risks and liabilities β’ Proficient computer skills, including moderate to advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft applications and other industry-related software required to perform job duties β’ Indiana search/examine experience is preferred
