📋 Description

• Research products and services, focusing on use case, price and other metrics relevant to readers • Review methodologies and provide input on providers and data points for best-of content • Test products and services to develop expert knowledge of how they work and who they suit • Conduct hands-on research to determine the value of reviewed products and services • Capture photos of products and services to illustrate the user experience • Write expert reviews explaining the pros and cons of each product or service • Collaborate with the managing editor to prioritize products and services for review • Respond promptly to Slack messages and emails

🎯 Requirements

• At least 2 years' experience in small business journalism, preferably in the applicable product reviews space • Experience reviewing SMB products and services • 3-5 years of experience in online journalism • Strong communication and task management skills in a remote work environment • Ability to work with a distributed team across time zones • Demonstrably strong understanding of the small business space • Experience with SEO best practices • Willingness to learn and expand SEO skills • Extremely organized, meticulous and detail-oriented • Nimble and open to quick changes in strategy • Quick learner ready to research and grow expertise in various SMB categories
