📋 Description

• Provide medical leadership and oversight across all phases of development, including early-phase innovation and late-phase global programs • Support development activities for proposed and ongoing projects in rheumatology and related areas • Perform medical monitoring for assigned clinical studies • Serve as a key medical representative in client interactions, business-development discussions, and proposal presentations • Foster relationships with global clinical operations teams • Provide leadership as the Leading Physician for Phase I–IV clinical trials • Provide high-level medical therapeutic-area and clinical-trial subject matter expertise • Contribute to cross-functional scientific and technical interactions with client medical teams, project teams, key opinion leaders, and principal investigator/site levels • Partner with clients and internal teams to support business development and shape clinical/medical strategy for proposals, bid defenses, and client discussions • Oversee medical monitoring activities to ensure timelines and quality of medical deliverables • Assign physician resources as required • Serve as Global Lead, Regional, or Program Project Physician across multiple indications, according to scope of work • Contribute subject-matter and drug-development expertise to medical strategy and study/program execution • Input, review, and revise protocols, case report forms, training materials, project-specific tools, analysis-plan designs, clinical trial reports, and new drug applications • Prepare materials for and actively participate in investigator meetings • Assist at site initiation visits • Provide medical/scientific expertise to project teams • Perform other duties as required or assigned

🎯 Requirements

• MD Degree • Board Certification in Internal Medicine • Specialization in Rheumatology • Broader therapeutic experience in autoimmune diseases (AID) • 3+ years of substantial knowledge of drug development and extensive clinical research experience within the pharmaceutical/CRO industry or as a clinical trial investigator • Strong scientific communication and client-facing capabilities • Experience presenting scientific expertise, supporting proposals, and strengthening external partnerships • Full professional proficiency in English • Ability to work remotely based in the USA • Ability to travel occasionally nationally and internationally • Ability to frequently remain stationary for 6–8 hours per day • Repetitive hand movement of both hands and ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists • Ability to perform occasional crouching and stooping, with frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck • Ability to access and use a variety of in-house and off-the-shelf computer software • Ability to lift and carry 15–20 lbs • Regular and consistent attendance; varied hours may be required
