• Teach a graduate-level Advanced Analytics/analytics-statistics course according to the curriculum, content, and outcomes specified by the Lead Faculty • Provide quality instruction and maintain a positive learning environment for busy working adult students • Teach online class sessions over a 12-week course • Develop PowerPoint slides, lesson plans, demonstrations, and examples from multiple fields • Use statistical analysis methods and analytical tools such as R and Python in demonstrations • Monitor and advise students on course-related work • Correspond promptly with students via email • Facilitate course-related discussions • Hold regular office hours • Assess and evaluate student assignments, exams, homework, quizzes, projects, discussions, and other course activities in a timely manner • Participate in adjunct MATH/DATA faculty meetings, retreats, and departmental activities • Respond to Lead Faculty requests related to course components
• A doctoral degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a closely related discipline is required • If the degree is in a related field, at least 18 graduate credit hours should be in the aforementioned fields • At least three years of online teaching experience in higher education • Skilled in video conferencing platforms • Proficient in online learning management systems • Knowledge and experience with several analytics software such as Tableau, R, and Python • Excellent communication skills, work ethics, and passion to teach Analytics/Statistics • Flexibility and integrity • Preferred: doctoral degree in Engineering, Economics or Business with at least 18 credit hours in Mathematics, Data Science, or Statistics, or doctoral degree in these fields with a graduate certificate in Data Science • Preferred: at least 5 years of industry experience with projects targeting course outcomes • Preferred experience in data science, data analytics, data visualization, and machine/statistical learning • Industry certifications in data science or analytics are preferred • Candidates must be eligible for employment in an available location; Franklin University is not able to hire in California, New York, Massachusetts, Montana, or the City of Philadelphia
