📋 Description

• Handle the adjusting of the entire claim without the involvement of a Desk Adjuster • Collect and review all loss-related facts • Analyze insurance policies and make coverage decisions or recommendations • Issue claim payments within the applicable authority level • Contact insureds to schedule property inspections • Travel to affected properties and conduct timely inspections • Photograph, sketch, and scope all damages, including non-damaged areas • Compose claims correspondence and keep insureds informed • Determine the method and extent of investigation for each claim • Assign outside experts or investigators when appropriate • Review and analyze investigative and claim materials • Interview insureds and witnesses to obtain loss facts • Document investigative actions in claim files • Determine total claim value • Request and disburse claim checks/payments within authority level • Make payment recommendations for amounts above authority level • Respond to questions in a timely manner • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to resolve claims-related issues • Assist with catastrophe operations, including working extra hours and deploying to affected areas • When assisting a Desk Adjuster, communicate issues and expert needs, submit reserve recommendations within 48 hours of inspection, email reports/estimates to the home office, and assist with pricing and technical issues • Perform additional duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• A four year college degree is preferred • Prior insurance experience with an insurance carrier or agency • Ability to travel to affected properties and deploy to affected areas during catastrophe operations • Ability to work extra hours during major events • Ability to utilize several software programs throughout the day • Ability to maintain compliance with quality standards and state regulations
