📋 Description

• Handle the entire claim adjustment without involvement of a Desk Adjuster • Collect and review loss-related facts and analyze insurance policy terms to make coverage decisions • Issue claim payments within the applicable authority level and make recommendations above that level • Schedule and conduct timely inspections of damaged property • Travel to affected properties • Photograph, sketch, and scope damages, including non-damaged areas • Compose claims correspondence and keep insureds informed • Determine the method and extent of investigation for each claim • Assign outside experts or investigators when appropriate • Review investigative and claim materials to determine loss facts • Interview insureds and witnesses, including recorded and non-recorded interviews • Document investigative actions in claim files • Evaluate coverage and make coverage recommendations • Respond to questions in a timely manner • Utilize several software programs throughout the day to determine loss parameters • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to resolve claims-related issues • Maintain compliance with quality standards and state regulations • Assist with catastrophe operations, including working extra hours during major events or deploying to affected areas • When assisting a Desk Adjuster, communicate issues and expert needs, submit reserve recommendations within 48 hours of inspection, email reports/estimates to the home office, and assist with pricing or technical issues • Perform additional duties as the candidate progresses

🎯 Requirements

• A four year college degree is preferred • Prior insurance experience with an insurance carrier or agency
