The Full Sail User Experience Lab (UX Lab) is a part of the Full Sail Game Design Masters (GDMS) program. The UX Lab works on a broad range of projects for organizations and companies involved in information technology, media, video games and other fields. The work done ranges from research and analysis to game design and production. Students who apply and qualify to be interns at the UX Lab go through a five month long internship in which they are exposed to and learn many different skills that are used in the games industry. Some of the disciplines students are exposed to in the UX Lab include (but are not limited to) game design, project management, programming, art and audio, marketing, usability and industry research.

• Create an environment of learning through effective teaching skills • Maintain a student-centered focus • Update the curriculum to keep current and relevant to industry standards • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and encourage active learning • Create learning activities, including assignments, tests, quizzes, and labs • Assess student outcomes in a timely manner through effective assessment and constructive feedback • Perform lectures for campus courses • Hold scheduled virtual course meetings for online courses • Interact positively with diverse student populations • Provide all students with equal opportunities for learning • Demonstrate a commitment to the industry • Maintain knowledge and skill relevancy through continuing education
• Minimum of four (4) years related and verifiable work experience • Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) in digital media, marketing, business, broadcast production, management, etc. from an accredited college or university • Experience in game business and operations • Knowledge of game product lifecycle • Experience with gaming cultures • Proficiency in event production • Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, Excel, Keynote/PowerPoint and Outlook • Project Management • Proficiency in online learning, specifically ability to navigate, populate, manage, and assess materials in a learning management system • Ability to provide useful feedback
