📋 Description

• Perform construction inspection on a variety of power generation projects • Gain construction experience in earthwork, foundation inspection, test boring inspection, and concrete testing • Interpret specifications and construction drawings • Perform field testing of soils and concrete • Review plans and specifications in preparation for field observations on construction sites • Conduct field or laboratory tests and investigations to obtain construction-material data • Collect soil, asphalt, and concrete samples • Prepare samples for testing, record data, and prepare summary reports • Document field activities, observations, and testing results • Perform laboratory and field tests according to prescribed procedures, processes, and standards • Use specialized equipment and apparatus to prepare analyses, reports, and technical drawings • Communicate field and laboratory testing results with staff, contractors, and clients • Receive close supervision and take direction from a leader

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or better • 0+ years of experience • Required driver's license • Willingness to travel up to 100% during weekdays and occasional weekend travel and/or work • Ability to work in extreme heat, cold, and other weather conditions • Ability to perform physically demanding work • Ability to lift and carry 25–50 lbs. routinely • Ability to walk for lengthy periods • Ability to wear a shirt, long pants, and boots while on the job • Basic oral and written communication skills • Good visual and hearing skills • Good organizational skills • Ability to take direction and function positively in a team environment
