📋 Description

• Evaluate drug and drug class reviews using evidence-based research • Develop clinical prior authorization criteria recommendations and documents for P&T and/or DUR Board review • Review clinical and pricing data to support coverage and preferred drug list decisions • Consult with physicians and other prescribers regarding specialty medication prescribing and trends • Review prescription claims data and prescribing practices to develop retrospective DUR initiatives • Present DUR initiatives, including methods, interventions, communications, and outcomes, to P&T or DUR Boards • Consult with prescribers about identified prescribing outliers and review prior authorization data for intervention opportunities • Refine consultation scripting using stakeholder input • Assist with implementation and management of communications to physicians and prescribers • Maintain edits and data elements supporting pharmacy programs • Provide consultation on pharmacy-related questions and issues • Contribute to continuous quality improvement and identify improvement opportunities • Maintain current medication knowledge and uphold clinical integrity • Collaborate with Medical Directors, medical, clinical, operations, reporting, product, and other internal departments • Develop creative solutions to improve pharmacy team efficiency and effectiveness

🎯 Requirements

• Registered Pharmacist with respective State Licensure • PharmD (preferred) or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree • Minimum 5 years’ experience in clinical pharmacy or PBM • Knowledge of Medicaid at the state and/or federal level • Knowledge of pharmacy-related aspects of Medicaid • Experience with P&T Committee and DUR Board participation • Ability to communicate succinctly and accurately in written and verbal English • Ability to perform clinical reviews using relevant compendia and clinical trial data • Managed care pharmaceutical service experience a plus • Strong research and implementation skills • Analytical skills to translate findings into practical recommendations • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office products and ability to quickly learn proprietary systems • Proficient with work organization and problem resolution skills
