• Serve as the security authority for all accounts within the assigned sector • Transform security into a business value add through proactive risk management, innovation, and client differentiation • Navigate regulatory environments and collaborate with state and federal government agencies • Promote security as a strategic business enabler through thought leadership, client engagement, and internal advocacy • Drive consistency and standardization across accounts • Define and enforce metrics for decision-making and continuous improvement • Lead sector-specific dashboards providing visibility into security posture, performance, and risk • Represent the security program in client meetings, governance forums, and strategic discussions • Tailor security strategies and communications to healthcare and Medicaid client needs • Develop client engagement frameworks and co-create security strategies with client leadership • Monitor client satisfaction metrics and improve security services and delivery • Empower Information Security Officer teams as trusted client advisors • Represent the sector in client escalations and strategic forums • Align ISO teams with vulnerability management processes, including identification, prioritization, remediation, and reporting • Integrate vulnerability management into account-level security strategies • Coordinate with infrastructure, application, cloud, and business teams on vulnerabilities • Support standardized vulnerability lifecycle processes and participate in governance forums • Promote vulnerability-management transparency through reporting and communication • Advocate automation and threat intelligence to improve prioritization and remediation • Establish risk ownership, maintain sector-specific risk registers, and track mitigation • Monitor risk trends using metrics and dashboards and provide risk briefings to senior leadership and clients • Advance security program maturity using NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, and ISO 27001 • Conduct maturity assessments and develop multi-year maturity roadmaps with milestones and KPIs • Drive best-practice standardization, data-driven decisions, resource optimization, and continuous improvement across sector accounts • Align security maturity efforts with healthcare, Medicaid, and state/federal regulatory requirements • Recognize and reward security-delivery innovation and excellence
• Master's degree required, preferably an MBA • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field preferred • Minimum of 12 years of experience in information security • At least 8 years in leadership roles • Relevant certification such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA required • Extensive information security experience, including strategic planning, program development, and operational management • Experience building and managing comprehensive information security programs, including metrics, dashboards, and continuous improvement initiatives • Proven track record building and managing high-performing teams • Healthcare experience essential • Strong preference for Medicaid expertise • Familiarity working alongside state and federal government entities • Willingness to travel regularly to clients within the United States • Ability to work outside regular business hours for security incidents or urgent issues
