📋 Description

• Write short-form GTA 6 and Rockstar news daily, including trailers, release and pre-load logistics, vehicles, characters, map details, and official announcements • Find and write GTA-adjacent human interest and true crime stories for syndication • Pitch and originate stories from primary sources such as the Rockstar Newswire, Take-Two investor filings, store listing changes, ratings boards, r/GTA6, and GTAForums • Write two headlines for every story: one for search and one for the feed • Ensure factual accuracy, especially for stories involving named individuals or criminal matters • Monitor news cycles and react quickly to major beats, including Trailer 3, the 12 November pre-load, and the 19 November launch • Publish to WordPress and NewsBreak, including featured image selection and internal linking • Submit a brief introduction, resume or portfolio, 3–5 relevant news writing samples, and any self-originated story examples • Complete a short paid test assignment if shortlisted

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience covering news, entertainment, or culture at pace • Experience writing for syndication platforms such as NewsBreak, MSN, SmartNews, or Yahoo, or Google Discover • Understanding of how syndication platforms differ from search • Ability to give local or niche stories mainstream appeal • Scrupulous attribution and ability to source claims to documents • Clean copy to a high standard of English with minimal edits needed • Familiarity with SEO, WordPress, Trello, Slack, and other common industry tools • Working knowledge of the GTA series • Reliable availability during breaking news cycles • Preferred: local news, tabloid, or true crime experience • Preferred: ability to select attention-grabbing featured images • Preferred: ability to pitch original angles beyond the daily churn • 3–5 relevant news writing samples required for application
