📋 Description

• Provide production support for mission-critical database environments, including shift-based coverage and on-call support • Monitor database performance, respond to incidents, troubleshoot production issues, and coordinate service restoration • Perform root-cause analysis and contribute to long-term stability improvements • Work in an Agile environment with daily scrums, biweekly sprint planning, and quarterly Program Increment planning • Develop operating standards and best practices for performance, security, scalability, and maintainability • Define, control, and coordinate data elements and standards and facilitate data relationships, systems integration, and physical structure • Develop and implement database management policies and standards • Collaborate with Product Owners, users, agency leaders, stakeholders, consultants, and program personnel to gather requirements and define technical requirements • Document complex workflow designs for project teams and stakeholders • Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets using statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling • Synthesize information, identify patterns and relationships, and develop data visualizations for KPIs and program metrics • Conduct peer reviews of developers' code and perform data validation to ensure accuracy and integrity • Develop stored procedures, jobs, views, tables, and other database objects in SQL Server Management Studio • Design and develop dimensional data models, including star and snowflake schemas, fact and dimension tables, and enterprise data marts • Develop and deploy ETL packages using CI/CD pipelines • Use Atlassian Suite software development management tools • Index system and application logs in Splunk and create dashboards, alerts, and reports

🎯 Requirements

• At least seven (7+) years of server database maintenance and database analysis or similar experience • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering, or relevant computer-based major; experience may be considered in lieu of degree • Experience supporting production database systems, including shift-based coverage and on-call responsibilities • Proficient experience with AWS database technologies such as Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL and other AWS-managed data services • Experience with Snowflake and exposure to Azure cloud platform • Experience installing, configuring, and administering database environments • Understanding of standard data warehouse concepts • Adept with data modeling, data mapping, data flow diagrams, and data marts • Experience architecting and implementing cloud-based database solutions on various platforms • Experience migrating data from legacy on-premises databases to multi-cloud/hybrid cloud platforms • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills • Excellent organization, time management, written communication, and oral communication skills • Database or cloud certification preferred, such as AWS Certified Database – Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional • Experience creating and managing database reports, visualizations, and dashboards preferred • Knowledge of court operations and law enforcement business data preferred
