📋 Description

• Provide production support for mission-critical database environments, including shift-based coverage and on-call support • Monitor database performance, respond to incidents, troubleshoot production issues, and coordinate with development and operations teams to restore service • Perform root-cause analysis for production defects and contribute to long-term stability improvements • Work within an Agile solution development environment with daily scrums, biweekly sprint planning, and quarterly Program Increment planning • Develop operating standards and best practices for performance, security, scalability, and maintainability • Define, control, and coordinate data elements and standards, data relationships, systems integration, and physical structure • Develop and implement database management policies and standards for quality control and data administration • Collaborate with Product Owners, users, agency leaders, stakeholders, consultants, and program personnel to gather requirements and develop data analysis techniques • Document complex workflow designs for project teams and stakeholders • Collect, analyze, and interpret large amounts of data to guide business decisions • Apply advanced statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling techniques • Synthesize data from multiple sources, identify patterns and relationships, and develop visualizations for KPIs and program metrics • Conduct peer reviews of developers’ code and perform data validation to ensure accuracy and integrity • Develop stored procedures, jobs, views, tables, and other database objects in SQL Server Management Studio • Design and develop dimensional data models, including star and snowflake schemas, fact and dimension tables, and enterprise data marts • Develop and deploy ETL packages using a CI/CD pipeline • Use configuration management systems for version control • Work with the Atlassian Suite of software development management tools • Index system and application logs in Splunk and create dashboards, alerts, and reports

🎯 Requirements

• At least seven (7+) years of Server database maintenance and database analysis or similar role • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering or relevant computer-based major; experience may be considered in lieu of degree • Experience supporting production database systems, including shift-based coverage and on-call responsibilities • Proficient experience with AWS database technologies such as Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL and other AWS-managed data services • Experience with Databricks • Experience completing database environment installation, configuration, and ongoing administration support • Demonstrated understanding of standard data warehouse concepts • Proficiency with data modeling, data mapping, data flow diagrams, and data marts • Previous experience architecting and implementing cloud-based database solutions on various platforms • Experience migrating data from legacy on-premises databases to multi-cloud/hybrid cloud platforms • Ability to provide on-call support and/or follow a flexible work schedule as needed • Database or cloud certification preferred, such as AWS Certified Database – Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, or equivalent industry-recognized certification • Experience creating and managing database reports, visualizations, and dashboards preferred • Knowledge of court operations and law enforcement business data preferred • Must be able to work independently, prioritize, and complete tasks • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills • Excellent organization and time management skills • Excellent written and oral communication skills • No US citizenship requirement
