📋 Description

• Implement and maintain metadata management, business glossary, data catalog, and data lineage capabilities • Configure, administer, and maintain data governance, catalog, metadata, and lineage platforms • Establish metadata standards, structures, naming conventions, and management practices • Develop and maintain enterprise and domain-level business glossaries • Capture and maintain business, technical, operational, and governance metadata • Establish relationships between data assets, business terms, data elements, systems, applications, reports, and data products • Implement and maintain end-to-end data lineage across critical data assets and flows • Integrate metadata from source systems, databases, data warehouses, data lakes, APIs, ETL/ELT pipelines, BI platforms, and other data environments • Configure metadata ingestion, scanning, classification, tagging, and discovery capabilities • Support automated metadata harvesting and synchronization • Implement data ownership, stewardship, certification, and approval workflows • Onboard new data sources and systems into the data catalog • Configure integrations with governance, data quality, and IT systems • Ensure metadata accurately reflects definitions, classifications, ownership, sensitivity, retention, and governance attributes • Partner with Data Governance Analysts, Data Quality Analysts, Data Architects, Data Stewards, and business stakeholders • Support data discovery and self-service access for authorized users • Develop dashboards and reports measuring catalog adoption, metadata completeness, stewardship, lineage coverage, and governance maturity • Monitor metadata quality and identify gaps, inconsistencies, and stale metadata • Support integration across catalog, governance, data quality, security, privacy, and enterprise architecture capabilities • Develop documentation, procedures, and operating standards • Provide training and support to Data Stewards and business users • Continuously evaluate and improve metadata management and data discovery capabilities • Contribute to the Case Management Modernization Program supporting the Administrative Office of the US Courts and 204+ federal courts

🎯 Requirements

• MA/MS degree • 5+ years of general experience in information systems • 7+ years of specialized experience • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise data governance programs • Experience translating governance policy into practical operational processes in delivery environments • Experience governing high-sensitivity or regulated data with clear compliance expectations • Experience with access management and operationalizing privacy requirements • Experience partnering with security, governance, and engineering teams to implement compliant data sharing • Strong process mapping, documentation, and business analysis skills • Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams • Ability to translate policy and governance requirements into actionable operational procedures • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including development of training and change management materials • Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills • Skills in Data Lake, Data Warehousing, Enterprise Data, and Metadata Management • No clearance required • US citizenship is not required • Preferred: experience in Federal Government or regulated environments • Preferred: experience with enterprise data governance/catalog platforms • Preferred: experience with enterprise data governance frameworks and operating models • Preferred: data management certification
