📋 Description

• Engage with FLIGHT DECK and industrial engineering users across part families, shop operations, and supporting cross-functional teams • Develop competency in Industrial Engineering methods and Lean tools and coach associates in Lean/FLIGHT DECK principles • Partner with Operations, FLIGHT DECK, and Industrial Engineering leaders to develop and execute the standard Capacity Utilization process • Improve workflow by studying process flow charts, modifying workflows and workstations, and developing procedures • Plan layouts and workstations • Design, develop, and deploy manufacturing systems, with emphasis on machining lines and balancing hard/soft capacity • Improve labor and machine utilization through work-method, layout, and equipment studies and recommend job restructuring • Create Standard Work and implement visual management for material flow and process optimization • Communicate industrial engineering process flows and work streams as Best Practice Standards across the manufacturing network • Apply Lean Process Improvement methodologies to address complicated or interdependent processes, develop execution plans, and communicate benefits and risks • Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resources, risk, and complexity • Influence others and guide consideration of alternative viewpoints • Facilitate activities including standard work, layout and process development, kaizen events, direct labor productivity, problem solving, and process improvement focused on material flow, asset utilization, and resource capacity optimization • Travel up to 60% of the time • Attend in-person New Hire Orientation on Day 1

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university • Minimum of 5 years of experience facilitating lean transformations in manufacturing and supply chain operations • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time • Access to U.S. export-controlled information requires proof of U.S. Person status: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, or granted asylee/refugee status • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable • Industrial Engineering degree preferred • Minimum of 10 years of experience facilitating lean transformations or manufacturing/machining operations desired • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering desired • 3+ years of leadership experience preferred • Knowledge and experience applying lean in transactional and shop floor situations • Experience with operator balance charts, machine capacity analysis, standard work, time study, SMED, structured problem solving, daily management, and OEE calculations • Experience designing, developing, and deploying manufacturing systems, especially machining lines and balancing hard/soft capacity • Experience with layout and workstation planning
