• Identify and follow up on newly diagnosed cancer cases through abstracting and case finding. • Ensure all identified cases are accurately reported. • Review pathology reports, diagnostic logs, and treatment logs. • Analyze, abstract, and code assigned cases in accordance with facility procedures.
• Must be a certified Oncology Data Specialist and in good standing with NCRA. • At least 3 years of experience in ODS/Cancer Registry. • Proficient with various electronic medical records and cancer registry software. • Must be US based. • CoC and NAPBC accreditation, and State/FCDS Abstractor Code preferred. • VA experience is a plus.
