📋 Description

• Conduct investigations of suspected fraud or other illegal activities against GEICO • Conduct interviews, database inquiries, and take statements • Locate sources of information and witnesses • Evaluate information to determine credibility • Refer and coordinate investigation assignments to outside agencies • Provide training and support to departments involved in claims handling • Perform duties generally in the field, at auto repair environments, or business locations under minimum supervision • Work with personal protective equipment as necessary • Drive assigned vehicles and perform duties in an automobile used as a mobile workstation

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma • 3+ Years claims adjusting experience, or P&C SIU/Fraud Investigation experience or 4 years prior investigative law enforcement (including military) or relevant fraud industry investigation experience • Experience handling in-person or phone statements from various parties in an investigation • Ability to gather a broad range of evidence and draw conclusions based on collected information • Ability to organize and prioritize heavy claim volume workloads and stressful situations • Professional attitude and appearance • Ability to document files in a clear, concise, professional written manner • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license, certifications and permits in accordance with regulations and company standards • Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment to and from vehicles and up and down steps • Ability to climb on, off, in, around and under vehicles, including RVs and commercial vehicles • Ability to exercise caution and awareness of surroundings • Ability to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information • Knowledge of city, state, and local regulations, legal concepts, case law, medical treatments, and medical terminology • Must utilize personal protective equipment as necessary • Must be willing to work indoors and outdoors, in inclement weather, dim or bright light, adverse weather conditions, and noise • Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record and valid state driver's license • Must be able to drive an assigned vehicle for extended periods • Must be able to use laptops, Microsoft Office, web-based applications, cameras, hands-free cellular devices, and calculators • Must be able to perform duties in an automobile used as a mobile workstation • At this time, GEICO will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position
