📋 Description

• Schedule appointments and manage notifications, reminders, and troubleshooting • Receive inbound and place outbound calls with patients, provider offices, insurance companies, labs, and other individuals involved in patient care • Prepare, organize, submit, and manage care documentation in electronic medical records and internal tools • Proactively support clinicians with prompt responses and high attention to detail • Support patients through empathetic communication, seamless transitions, and simplified processes • Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of patient information • Collaborate with the team to deliver a positive patient experience • Provide follow-up and follow-through on assigned tasks • Perform other duties as assigned • Contribute actionable feedback, critically evaluate the care model, and support continuous improvement

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • One year of experience in a healthcare-based patient service role requiring use of multiple software systems • Proficiency with electronic medical records, word processing, spreadsheets, and calendaring software • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Ability to thrive in a virtual environment • Knowledge of medical record management, medical terminology, and healthcare billing practices • Time management and prioritization skills • Preferred: Experience with the Athena platform • Preferred: Experience with medical billing submission, clarification, and troubleshooting • Preferred: Experience collaborating with engineering and product teams • Preferred: Experience with specialist referral processes, insurance authorization, and documentation requirements • Preferred: Multi-lingual
