📋 Description

• Schedule, notify, remind patients about, and troubleshoot appointments • Receive inbound and place outbound calls to patients, provider offices, insurance companies, labs, and others involved in patient care • Prepare, organize, submit, and manage care documentation in electronic medical records and internal tools • Support clinicians with prompt responses and high attention to detail • Support patients with empathy, clear communication, seamless transitions, and simplified processes • Demonstrate knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with internal policies and procedures • Collaborate with the team to deliver a delightful patient experience • Prioritize and document administrative tasks in internal tools • Perform other duties as assigned • Report to the Operations Manager and collaborate with the Director of Operations, Medical Director, and clinicians

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • One year experience in a health care based patient service role requiring use of multiple software systems • Proficiency in computer software including electronic medical records, word processing, spreadsheets and calendaring • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity • Effective verbal and written communication with the ability to thrive in a virtual environment • Knowledge of medical record management, medical terminology and healthcare billing practices • Time management and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks successfully • Experience with using the Athena platform • Experience with medical billing submission, clarification and troubleshooting to optimize reimbursement • Experience collaborating with engineering and product teams • Experience with specialist referral processes, including insurance authorization and documentation requirements • Multi-lingual • Must answer whether employment visa sponsorship is required
