📋 Description

• Direct the functional area of controls design for the nuclear business segment • Translate concepts, develop strategy, and implement change • Create programs responsive to the external environment • Participate in cross-functional business and cultural development • Provide technical consultation and leadership during the design process • Lead and guide the design review process and preside over formal design reviews • Promote division-wide initiatives related to design quality and reliability • Represent the Chief Engineer’s Office in matters related to design practices and design board activities • Represent GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy in industry groups to ensure codes, standards, and regulations are appropriately applied to designs • Provide technical mentoring and technical training • Support Nuclear Energy and GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy quality initiatives • Apply experience and knowledge to help solve technical problems • Disseminate lessons learned across design organizations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering • At least 15 additional years of experience in an engineering capacity • Able to travel up to 25%, including internationally • Strong oral and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills • Leadership to pursue correct engineering process in adverse conditions • Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization • Considered an expert in a specific engineering discipline • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information; where applicable, final offers are contingent on ability to obtain authorization from the U.S. Government • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
