• Support supplier selection and onboarding by assessing supplier capacity and technical/manufacturing capabilities through holistic process audits • Lead and execute first-piece qualifications, including design reviews, special process audits, test witnessing, and in-process and final product inspections • Participate in pre-purchase-order award meetings and contribute to supplier performance ratings • Lead quarterly supplier quality review meetings and initiate supplier quality improvement plans when appropriate • Lead supplier project kick-off meetings with Engineering • Develop supplier surveillance plans and execute supplier requirement review and design review meetings • Develop and review supplier inspection/test plans and special process procedures • Plan and execute data- and risk-assessment-driven audit strategies, including holistic process audits, special process audits, and product inspections • Verify compliance with GE specifications and technical regulations/standards; issue audit reports and update audit trackers • Release material for shipment by closing supplier deviation requests, reviewing end-of-manufacturing reports, verifying containment status, and authorizing shipment • Manage supplier technical deviations, non-conformances, and field complaints • Lead root-cause analyses and investigations, follow up on CAPA implementation/effectiveness, conduct containment, and support vendor recovery • Monitor supplier-liable failure data to drive continuous improvement in compliance with GEV supplier quality QMS procedures • Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives, including holistic audits, supplier PFMEA/DFMEA development, DSQR implementation, and supplier technical advisor site installation and commissioning • Monitor and manage supplier quality KPIs • Act as Commodity Coordinator and first point of contact for interface functions • Support SQE technical competency development and lessons-learned implementation • Support project team ITO activities and participate in Global Quality Value Stream activities • Lead and coach major customer issue resolution and root-cause analyses • Prepare standard project quality requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials or Quality Engineering, or equivalent technical field from an accredited university or college • Significant experience with supplier qualification processes (PPAP or equivalent) • 8+ years of working experience in quality, operations/supply chain or project management, preferably in Power Generation/Aerospace industry • Proficiency understanding technical drawings, specifications, and standards • Strong understanding of gas turbine design and components • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes including casting, forging, welding, heat treatment, coating, machining, assembly, and NDT, as applicable • Strong safety, compliance, quality, and lean mindset • Proven use of the industrial quality toolkit for risk assessment, root cause analysis, problem solving, and manufacturing process controls • Capacity to organize working time in a global team setting • Willingness to adjust working time for meetings with stakeholders in different time zones • Flexibility and willingness to travel to supplier facilities up to 30% globally • Excellent written and verbal English language skills • Competence interpreting engineering drawings, models, and standards • Certifications in special processes such as coatings (NACE), welding (CWI), non-destructive testing (NDT Level 1-3), and/or certifications/evidence of training in 5-why, 8D root cause analysis, and quality management systems such as ISO 9001:2015 lead auditor training • Experience in the operation, design, or inspection of power industry equipment, including gas turbine components, fluids, mechanical, or electrical skids • High level of understanding of gas turbines/aerospace equipment and components • Experience interfacing with customers and senior leadership • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
