📋 Description

• Work with site/hub leadership to execute contractual obligations per customer requirements and activities set forth on a daily basis, which include any portion of the electrical and mechanical equipment used in the GE wind turbine generator • Apply extensive understanding of variable pitch & speed turbines and converter parts • Read, understand and explain schematics, drawings, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations • Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety processes and regulations and all applicable compliance requirements • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch & variable speed turbines • Help in all areas of site operations as directed by manager with minimal supervision, observing all safety requirements • Effectively perform diagnostic analysis and generate plan for timely resolution • Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures • Work with and respond to GE’s remote operations center when necessary • Help in all areas of site operations as directed by manager, and mentor peers

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • Ability to pass Technical Knowledge Assessment • Minimum of 4 years of wind trouble-shooting experience, and at least 1 year EHS, SQC, Lead role, or Minimum of 6 years of wind trouble-shooting experience • Minimum of 3 years of wind trouble-shooting experience AND Bachelor's Degree in relevant field • Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment • Basic computer skills • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license • Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time • Ability and willingness to lift repetitive weight of up to 45 lbs. unassisted and climb towers of 300+ feet regularly • Meet and maintain specified manufacturer weight limits not to exceed 300lbs including required gear • Ability and willingness to work in a range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities • Effectively prioritize work according to contract obligations • Ability and willingness to take initiative, and work without direct supervision • Flexibility to work rotating shift schedules, and on-call per site needs. Occasional overnights may be required per hub needs.
