• Manage, perform, coordinate, and/or monitor Steam Power site activities • Perform on-site installation of systems and equipment • Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration after installation • Respond to emergency repairs and services for troublesome equipment • Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives at customer sites • Write technical reports, job status reports, and customer reports • Order materials and secure quotations • Complete time sheets and expense sheets accurately and promptly • Sign off on implemented changes • Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance checkout for a wide range of equipment vintages • Prepare technical reports for customer records and future outages • Ensure all required parts are shipped to the site • Perform aftermarket upgrades at the site level • Supervise critical tasks performed by third parties, including measuring and dimensional checks • Travel extensively to customer-owned utility and industrial power plants
• Bachelor's degree in STEM or related discipline from an accredited university with a 3.0 or higher GPA, or High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience in a Field Services or power generation equipment maintenance role • Ability to obtain Unescorted Security Clearance to Nuclear Facilities across NAM • Employment contingent upon acceptable pre-employment background and drug screening • Successful completion of formal training provided by General Electric required for continuous employment • Completion of periodic training and all required training courses • Experience working on customer sites • Technically oriented, fast learner, and self-starter • Solid understanding of Steam Turbine Operation and Controlling Parameters or Steam Boiler Operational Principles • Strong technical skill in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams • Dial and laser alignment and thermal growth equipment knowledge • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Willingness to travel 80% annually, primarily within the U.S., with possible international travel to Canada
