📋 Description

• Travel locally within the hub • Maintain optimal function and output at the wind site • Work daily on turbine operations, safety, quality control, and warranty repairs • Partner and communicate with the Site Lead and Manager to execute contract requirements and timelines • Execute contractual obligations and customer requirements involving electrical and mechanical equipment used in GE wind turbine generators • Perform maintenance, repair, or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch and variable speed turbines • Assist in all areas of site operations as directed by the manager with minimal supervision while observing safety requirements • Perform diagnostic electrical analysis • Document all work using computer-based service reporting procedures • Work with and respond to GE’s remote operations center when necessary

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • 1+ year(s) experience as a Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic, or completed Wind Certificate Program/Associate’s Degree in Energy, or 2 years of electrical work experience • Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment • Basic computer skills • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license • Ability to handle repetitive weight of 50 lbs. and climb towers up to 300 feet daily • Meet specified manufacturer weight limits not to exceed 300 lbs. including required gear • Ability and willingness to work in industrial, manufacturing, and power industry facilities • Ability to effectively prioritize work according to contract obligations • Ability and willingness to take initiative and work without direct supervision • Flexibility to work rotating shift schedules and be on-call per site needs • Occasional overnights may be required per hub needs • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable • Shortlisted candidates subject to heightened security checks as directed by clients • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical, Electrical, or Electronics field from an accredited college or university • Technical Certification in Wind Energy or Electrical/Electronic field • Wind turbine experience • Electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic experience • Experience using hydraulic power tools • Experience with heavy equipment required for facility maintenance, including working knowledge of crane and rigging requirements
